If you are interested in discussing therapy with Elisa please call for a free phone appointment.
Our first session will run approximately 75-90 minutes for information and history gathering.
Our first few sessions will involve information gathering and goal setting. We will also make
sure to allow time to work with your concerns.
It is generally a good idea to meet weekly until you feel some improvement in your symptoms
and when we have gotten to know each other better. Then you may choose to meet every other week
or less often as you need.
I will suggest that you bring and or keep a journal and will give suggested homework assignments
to practice the skills on your own. These will not be graded nor will you be reprimanded for not
following through! (That is supposed to be a joke).
All regular sessions will last for 50 minutes. Please try to arrive on time.
We have a waiting room if you decide to arrive early or stay after the session to write.
All sessions are conducted in rooms with sound machines for confidentiality.
Our office building is wheelchair accessible and we are on the second floor.
If you need to cancel a session please do so at least 48 hours prior to the appointment
or you will be charged the full fee. This includes those paying with insurance. Emergencies not withstanding.
Multiple cancellations may result in termination of services.
If you feel that you need to speak to me inbetween sessions, I am available through my voicemail.
I usually check my messages several times per day, less on weekends, and try to return messages
within 24 hours. These calls will be free for the first 10 minutes, and then pro-rated per the $125.00
hourly fee. In a life threatening emergency please call 911 or go to your local emergency room. If I am
going to be away I will leave the number of a colleauge that you can call.
I prefer not to communicate about therapeutic matters by email as I cannot guarantee confidentiality
or that I will receive them.
